- As long as you're using a search engine, why not give to a good cause (of your choice) at the same time? GoodTree aggregates results from a few major search engines (the quality of the results is really quite good), and a portion of their advertising revenue for every search and click goes to the charities of your choosing.

- The design could need some work and I would like to be able to use Google functions like the calculator and "define". But that's nothing when you look at the big picture. I will use this 99% of the time.

- I'm actually part of the (miniscule) development team for GoodTree, so I felt obliged to leave some love for my labor. GoodTree does actually work (I know, I made it do so), and it works well. We're working on getting our whole process audited by a big firm so the naysayers won't have any wiggle room. So come on by and contribute to the (any) cause. And holler at me with feature requests.

- For a second, I thought it was yet another one of those huge number of 'Email pays You' type sites. It has a noble cause. I guess it is not false.

- Invitations that you can't even *read* before sending? Maybe because they contain blatant lies like "Google, Yahoo and Microsoft are contributing their technology to a new website called GoodTree"? A whole 25% of profit going to charity... is that suposed to be magnanimous? Not a single proof that such donations actually take place, not in their site nor in search results. All references to GoodTree are either positive comments from people that didn't bother to research their background, or suspicious ones from who actually tried but couldn't find anything about them. If I had to guess, I'd say GoodTree is either a cheap hoax or an ironic scam.

this is a cool search engine that donates money to your chosen charities every time you search. no need to click on anything else. just search as you normally would.
easy peasy lemon squeezy.
so make it your homepage or add it to the search box in your firefox toolbar. - awesome.
