Pity they can't extend this beyond the basis of scripture and go out into the bigger picture: all religion in all forms is bullshit. There isn't one that doesn't distort or otherwise destructively influence someone's perceptions of the universe.

This has obviously been given a lot of thought. I'm going to have to go through and look at these more closely. In response to HomeroB...I encourage you to actually get involved in a Kingdom Hall and find out what they're really about. It's scary...how much they do "know," and how many books they have published on various things, including how to react to everything you say at your door to a Greek-English translated new testament and their own versions of every obscure text in the Bible. For everyone else, from someone who has constant contact with JWs, I encourage you to print out a few of these and research them yourselves. Often, they have staggering arguments that can't be contested, but maybe if we educate ourselves, we can have a chance at discrediting them.

Every (and I do mean EVERY) belief and practice of the faith is biblically based. In fact, I would even go so far to say that the Mass contains more direct scriptural quotation than any Protestant service I have ever been to. Don't believe me? Go to Mass one time. Your eyes will be opened to the truth. The distortions and out-right lies of those who hate the Church are easy to see.

XD I didn't realize this was from Catholics until I read the SU comments. Seriously. They're ones to talk. Half of their theology doesn't even come from the damn book, but from a half crazy old Nazi.
