Well darkness may not be a "thing" but it still holds sensory perception. You can see it...and last I heard sight is a sense.

Why would an atheist use this argument? And why are we bashing evolution?? There is a high enough probability for the existence of a "higher intelligence" to make atheism seem a bit silly, at least to me (does anyone follow Plantinga?) Unfortunately this probability does not account for whether this higher intelligence is omnipresent, perfect, or even if it is a single intelligence. Basically, the idea of the Christian God is tougher to prove. Not that I think that the Christian God is an invalid concept...Not at all.

    Hello, Straw-Man!

There are so many flaws in this argument it's not even funny. Burn the straw man and there is no argument. I really do think it is futile trying to prove the existence of something that is void of any sensory detection. As the last person put, "Take your belief and go on with life." I will sustain, though, that this logic is quite flawed.

An atheist seeks proof that God exists. A person of faith will demand proof that God does not exist. Neither side will get the answer because you cannot do either of these. I do not understand how anyone can type out long winded essays about something that in their mind does not exist all the while demand that the faithful stop pushing their faith down their neck. Both ends of this little debate would do well to just take their toys and go home. There is no need trying to prove the existence of something you cannot. And the atheist should really spend less time arguing about something that in their mind does not exist. Take your belief and go on with life. We all get the proof when we reach the clearing at the end of the path when our time here is done. Until then would stress that the faithful spend their time trying to remove the splinter for their eye before trying to remove the board from their brothers. And those without the faith just keep on keepin' on. You might be right, you might be wrong. But either way life is much too short to fight about it.

Every time this subject comes up, I am shocked by the anger of those who choose not to believe in (a) God.
