This is an amazing five star resort hotel set in a deep water filled quarry in China. Fully kitted with underwater restaurants, pools, lobbies and guestrooms facing a ten-metre deep aquarium.

Putting aside any residual hazards from the proposed placement and putting aside any political side-chatter, the architectural concept is gorgeous. Practical or affordable? Perhaps not. But certainly a feast for the eyes. Thanks for sharing!

A new use for an old quarry - fantastic idea! This has a special resonance for me because I have always fancied building in a quarry. It has great advantages - an abandoned resource, building material to hand and the opportunity for an earth sheltered, sustainable, secluded dwelling. Thanks to deputydog for this great link
