uglybetty977 rated 33 hours ago- really cool article

Slavofile rated 5 weeks ago- Amazing! Facial expressions are evolutionary rather than cultural!

mhannigan rated 3 months ago- Three questions: What are you talking about? Who gives a shit? Why is this even a web page. The rest of you... proud of you for pretending to be sophisticated enough to "understand" this garbage.

arleas rated 3 months ago- A long article about how you can read facial expressions to know if someone is lying and how those same facial expressions affect the mood of the person making them.

anchee rated 3 months ago- A very detailed notes on Ekman's research...

Tancred rated 4 months ago- I was aware of Ekman's research, but never would I have imagined that is was as detailed as this.

celtcellenem rated 4 months ago- Long article, looks good, I'll save for later when I'm not so tired.

almaindigo rated 4 months ago- What is amazing to me is how even the smallest, most subtle changes in a person's face can bring about intense cues to their personality. The problem is that, just like dream analysis, you really can't go on "one size fits all" interpretations. I wonder sometimes if that "gut" feeling we often get about people may actually just be some advanced form of facial/body reading that has given us some type of clue about that person. Equally, the intuition I sense in clinical practice may also come from observation of visual cues much more than from some "energy source."

erinidle rated 4 months ago- i love the new yorker, i love nonverbal communication, and i love that they used all umlauts in words like 'coöperation.' it's pretty long, but if you're interested, it's completely worth it.
