GizmoSMS is a free web-based text messaging service that lets you send FREE mobile SMS messages to pretty much any Mobile Phone in about 50 countries wordlwide. If you're looking for a web app to text overseas for free then definitely give GizmoSMS a try. No registration or email required. And since it works directly from the browser you don't have to get up and look for your phone. The only drawback is that there is no `From' field so you'll have to add your name to the end of the message.

This is a good service to use if you want to text people either in your own country or overseas (like I have been because my sister is sick).
