- In the movie V for Vendetta, V wasn't mad about having too much of his money taken out of his paycheck. He was mad about being locked up and tortured and set on fire. These are just economic-biased libertarians who've co-opted the imagery in a way that's disingenuous. As others have mentioned, they're not real revolutionaries in pursuit of truth and freedom. They're focusing their time and attention on taxes--not the bigger crimes committed by this government. Plus, getting too bent out of shape about vague wording in the Constitution is a frivolous battle. If it's not, then do I get my slaves and 3/5 votes for them? Jeez. Beyond that, it seems "right to petition" is about being able to get your case like this heard and get an answer put in writing from the court for all to see. And they did. All this said, early revolutionary war stuff was about taxation. Gah.

- The We The People Foundation is committed to educating Americans about their Fundamental Rights and the history, meaning and power of the Constitution, and the essential Principles of Liberty. Where our servant governments have abused the limited authorities that the People have delegated, the Foundation confronts and holds these governments accountable to the federal and state written Constitutions.

harrystottle rated 10 months ago- Well meaning but naive attempt to roll back the Police State by invoking the Constitution. But the constitution didn't protect them from the abuses that led them into this hole in the first place. Why do they think it will solve the problems?

jaywfitz rated 14 months ago- I suspect that of all types of activism, tax activism is probably going to prove to be the most successful. First off, it appeals to greedy money hungry people as well as conscientious people--so it will succeed there. Secondly, money hungry people are too dumb to realize that if people didn't pay taxes, the government couldn't afford to commit the atrocities it does or give the kickback welfare to the rich that keeps them fat and happy. Siege mentality towards government. I like it.

TheGrubb rated 16 months ago- As tacky as the Guy Fawkes protest was, I still support what they're doing.

LOLThe Voice of the People!
So they would be inspired by a move that wants you to sympathize with terrorism.
Tax system...
Go ahead and get rid of it the Government and the constitution as well. For a moment let's say that the income tax is illegal. What do you think will happen then? Will the Government say oh sorry we will have to go now as we don't have any money.
Ummm Anarchy would be the result. But that is ok right?
To DickBeldin: You are not a crank to expect the Govenrment to answer to the people. Yet it is madness to expect the current tax system is unlawful and not expect Chaos when the Government fails as a result of lack of funding. People will act if there is compelling reason to rise up and demand change. It is called an election.- From the site: ""V" is helping us as we build support for the unalienable Right to a Response from Government to our Petitions for Redress of Grievances regarding the Government's violation of the war powers, tax, privacy and money clauses of the Constitution."
