From the page: "I had a college professor say to me, â€oeIf itâ€s needless to say, then why did you say it?” Good point, huh? I still let â€oeneedless to say” sneak in sometimes simply because it feels right. If you like, go for it. But, in general, stick with Dr. C and delete it."

I've heard professors who write books say that writing is always hard work and still is for them. There is nothing innate in the process of crystalizing ideas into immutable texts. Ideas start out so fuzzy and language, we're told, should be precise.

    1. Look at every single word you write. 2. Ask yourself, "Does this word help get my point across?" 3. Take out useless words. 4. Read it all together. 5. Ask yourself, "So what?" at the end of each sentence. # Repeat as necessary."

In School Being taught how to write is so hard because Schools make it seem as though the best way to write is to go out and Use Huge words and Commas all over the place. The best way to write is to be simple and not try to sound like a College Professor
