miranda622 discovered 4 months ago- Dogs are known for being loyal companions - but we've never met any as faithful as Hachiko, an Akita from Japan who spent 10 years waiting for his master.

whoneedsit rated 4 months ago- From the page: "Hachiko was brought to Tokyo in 1924 by his owner, a college professor named Hidesamuro Ueno. Each day, when Ueno left for work, Hachiko would stand by the door to watch him go. When the professor came home at 4 o'clock, Hachiko would go to the Shibuya Station to meet him. " ***************************************************************************** **************** Perhaps you already know the story, but if not, please read the whole thing!

WordsnCollision rated 4 months ago- The Hachiko statue is a popular place for people to meet in the Shibuya area of Tokyo - as it should be.

kdfrawg rated 4 months ago- What a great story! I don't know if my Weird Dawg Tucker would be quite this loyal, but I don't guess he'd eat me, either. Dogs are my kind of friend.

Two2Travel rated 4 months ago- with my dog sitting here at my side, this brought me to tears! Wherever I am she is.

- THE WORLD'S MOST LOYAL DOG. Hachiko was brought to Tokyo in 1924 by his owner, a college professor named Hidesamuro Ueno.
