From the page: "If you think there's a problem in the world," Jack said, "you don't wait for other people to fix it. You have to try to fix it yourself."

- Good news. It's about time we cleaned up our Act before it is too late. Sad reflection on Adults, that it is an 11yr old who has used his iniative. Maybe 11yr olds can save us ?!

the6thmonkey rated 6 months ago- he will get some mad hobo love for this.

JIR rated 6 months ago- From the page: "If you think there's a problem in the world," Jack said, "you don't wait for other people to fix it. You have to try to fix it yourself." Mankind might be worthwhile... Remember the story of Abraham and his payer for the citizens of Sodom and Gomorrah. Thanks Hoangmphung http://hoangmphung.stumbleupon.com/.

landers53 rated 6 months ago- And it took an 11 y.o. to do this. What an inspiration he is. From the page: ""I thought it pretty disturbing to see pounds, pretty much, of food being thrown away every single day," he told ABC News. So he decided to do something about it. The young activist knew that if he could get rid of that pesky law, restaurants would be free to donate their leftover food to homeless shelters and other needy people. He asked his father to help him get the word out to Florida legislators, but Jack's mother, Yasmin Davis, was doubtful that anything would come of it."

hoangmphung rated 6 months ago- A story of an 11 year old, who helps to create a law that enables restaurants in Florida to give away leftover food without fear of being sued. The law helps thousands of the hungry. He also has some great words of wisdom for us. "If you think there's a problem in the world," Jack said, "you don't wait for other people to fix it. You have to try to fix it yourself."

bhanumati rated 6 months ago- And for someone so young, he's got some great words of wisdom for the rest of us.

Feste rated 6 months ago- Dang uppity 11-year-olds and their positive thinking and ideas. It's almost as though this particular activist is trying to make the Florida legislature, and everyone over the age of 11, look bad by comparison.

ajanelle rated 6 months ago- Wouldn't it be something if they could somehow then require that the leftovers be given away?
