    This is a really interesting concept, you give of your time and exchange for the time given, you can cash in the time dollars (hours) for things you need. The author points out numerous ways she's cashed in...

    This is a great concept where instead of exchanging money or bartering, you exchange time for services within a large group of people that all have something different to give. Neat stuff!

    This is a nice introduction to a fascinating concept that I'd never heard of -- time banking. In short, it's a system for earning and spending hours whereby you can "earn" services by volunteering. Very cool.

    A great concept for any community or neighborhood. Time-banking is built around the basic concept of earning and spending hours. Everyone has skills, whether they are a medical professional, house painter, cook, etc., and are worth one time dollar per hour. The hours that you earn are stored in a time bank, and can then be redeemed for any service of your choice from any member of the timebank. Companies and organizations as well as individuals can be members of the time bank.
