This is pretty much how I feel about lawns.

From the page: "God: Grass? But it is so boring, it's not colorful. It doesn't attract butterflies, bees or birds, only grubs and sod worms. It's temperamental with temperatures. Do these Suburbanites really want grass growing there? St. Francis: Apparently not, Lord. As soon as it has grown a little, they cut it....sometimes two times a week. God: They cut it? Do they bale it like hay? St. Francis: Not exactly, Lord. Most of them rake it up and put it in bags. God: They bag it? Why? Is it a cash crop? Do they sell it? St. Francis: No sir, just the opposite. They pay to throw it away."

Satirical look at the way we manage nature in suburbia.

This little story certainly makes one rethink their approach to landscaping....

We have a goal. No more grass. If you can't eat it, or it doesn't flower -- till it.

Us humans are just weird, huh? We do a lot of things that don't make sense at all. We do it because everyone else is doing it. We do it because we don't have enough imagination.

It may have started with European Nobility, but it's supported now by capitalism. You're not 'normal' if you don't buy all the ferts, bags, weed-killers, sod, and/or all the other crap needed to make your extra few acres look like a big green carpet.

Lawns are definitely boring, and in our drought ridden country, a stupid thing to have. Yay for plants that can thrive on little moisture and provide food for bees and birds!

God frowns upon your lawn.

Dandelions are not native to North America so I don't think God meant for them to be here.
