- Cave Story is, simply put, one of the greatest freeware platform games ever created. It beats most commercial games out there for that matter. Only Noctis IV and the Ur-Quan Masters top this game in my book.

- Brilliant and free game. don not let the graphics fool you, and it takes a while to get going, but after 30 minutes you will be swept along a great adventure. Even has some heart-breaking moment, rare in games.
