- Wow, so isn't THIS the truth? This last week or so has been a time of really reconnecting with people from my past and people from my present. I get that they each hold an aspect of who I am and by just eliminating them from my life, I eliminate a part of myself. It is scary opening up and allowing myself to be vulnerable. I have done more of that in the past couple of weeks on MANY FRONTS than I have in a long time. I am glad, however, that the more I do this, the more I add to the amazing, wonderful people in my life who now can begin not to only have a relationship with who they think I might be, but actually get a chance to get to know me as I am. I think I suck miserably at it, but just like my tango classes, maybe each time and with practice, I will get better.
