IndrydCold discovered 41 months ago- William Leonard Pickard was one of the two people who were sentenced to life in prison without parole for running the last major LSD laboratory in the United States. The two were caught because a government informant turned them in when it became clear that the he was about to be arrested for unrelated crime (kidnapping, manslaughter, fraud, and trafficing in other drugs). Picard and Apperson have basically been railroaded by the justice system, despite many shaky details of the case, most of which revolve around the general scummyness, deception and criminal tendencies of the informant. If you go to lexisnexis.com and use bugmenot for the academic edition, you can search for "United States" vs "Clyde Apperson", where you should be able to find the government's various motions to supress just about everything going on in the case, including freepicard.org. Many of their motions for secrecy were granted, but luckily the motion to shut down freepicard.org was denied. Yet another casualty in the Drug War.. Unlike the murdering fraud of a scumbag informant who walked free with total immunity, Picard rots in a 9'x15' cell, with only 1 hour of daily exercise. The informat is still believed to be involved in drug trade.

- It's a shame. I shouldn't be advocating LSD as it's certainly not for everyone, much less everday, however, it should be stretched that it can truly be magic, in the most positive sense. If anything, people that produce the crap that mostly pollutes the airwaves should rather be prosecuted, as they effectively screw much more people's heads than LSD ever did. But, not surprisingly, that is tolerated, likely because docile TV consumers are much more desirable for the powers that be than LSD consumers that expand their minds. Ignorance is Strength.
