    The problem with the approach of the government is that the money goes to the higher tiers of society...the money needs to go first to the people, let them spend, and then work its way "up" to higher tiers.

    I sure wish our elected officials had read what they were voting on! Or even voted no if they felt pressured into making a quick decision not only a bad one.

    The economic stimulus package is a good idea. Personally, I don't think it matters much whether the economy is stimulated by tax cuts or increased spending, and it is disappointing to me that some politicians are behaving like the Lilliputian Big-Endians and Little-Endians, squabbling over where egg shells should be broken. People should instead fight against TARP and Geithner's resurrection of it, scandalous proposals that do little except to enrich investors of the most useless, corrupt and hopeless financial enterprises.
