Hi Mike GOOD DAY FOR: * Sealing the gutter trouble spots * If painter is not coming, bank dirt high up wall, do all you can to divert water. There is preforated pipe under deck. Put them under the dirt first. No floods this year! * Painting the back room. - - - - - - - - - - Proof that nothing is more spine-tingling than finding a scrap of story. Whether it be mundane or dramatic, instinctively we want to know more. So these lost cards and photos, discovered nestling in the pages of second hand books, all present small hints of lives lived. Mystery existances caught for a moment on a scrap of paper. We will never know these people or what happened to them, but that won't stop our minds from trying to fill in the gaps. That's the magic of the short story, and something this site personifies.

Very cool! As a bookseller, I also have a pile of "strange things found in books" and now wish I'd thought to take note of what book they were each found in.

A very interesting and compelling blog from a used book seller and the strange and unusual bookmarks he finds in books. I have a few choice items of my own I've found throughout the years. Very neat.

I once found a series of love letters inside a secondhand book, from the man who had given the book to its former owner. I still don't know if they were left accidentally or on purpose.

I'm sure I've left all sorts in library books over the years

Things found in a used/antique book store. A collection of ancient sincerities and bits of time.
