From the page: "The 100 Most Powerful Women"25 - Hillary Rodham ClintonMoreover, U.S. Sen. and former first lady Hillary Clinton (No. 25) may make history by winning the Democratic presidential nomination. But will she make history again by winning the presidency? Clinton might have had a better shot at it if she were born in England, Germany, India, Pakistan or Israel. Women who operate in these parliamentary systems of government have had an easier time getting to the top because they are handpicked by their colleagues in their countries' ruling party, not by an entire country of voters in national elections.only in 25th position???surely hitlery is more powerful than any other woman?well i guess she may have scored higher on "The 100 Most Powerful Men" list. LOL!!! on a more serious note though, i do find this list a little bit strange. the fact that it mixes politics and business seems a little weird to me. surely the chief executive of Kraft is not as powerful as hitlery or other politicians?

Forbes has compiled a special report on the 100 Most Powerful Women in the world. The "winners" are a list of government leaders and business executives. Entertainment executives seem to be a little bit over-represented on the list. Top fivee are: __1. Angela Merkel, Chancellor, Germany __2. Wu Yi, Vice premier, China __3. Ho Ching Chief executive, Temasek Holdings, Singapore __4. Condoleezza Rice Secretary of State, U.S. __5. Indra K. Nooyi Chairman, chief executive, PepsiCo, U.S. And number 100: __100. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, President, Liberia Nancy Pelosi (Speaker of the House, House of Representatives, U.S.) is ranked #26. (A few ranks above the CEO of Avon and the CEO of MTV Networks.)

This is an impressive list. I am wondering when are we going to elect a woman as president in the US? Even third world countries are more advance than the US in this matter. For example (Pakistan, Panama and Chile) and Germany's PM is the most powerful woman on earth. By the way, I think it is interesting that they've failed to mentioned Nancy Pelosi. After all she is the Speaker of the House of the US Congress, which according the the constitution is the third in line to the president of the United States. Heck I don't like the democrats, but I am not part of the media, and the media MUST be objective!!!!

Interesting list. I have to admit that I only recognize about half of the names on the list. Is that a good or bad thing?
