    Strongly depends on the employer, but it still helps to know these things, even if it's just for easy transition to alternatives.

    It probobly just reflects insecurity on my part, but I like to have a big list of lists like this to obsessivly pore over and make sure I'm not missing anything. :)

    not bad, though I doubt apt-get is a must if you are not using Ubuntu or a similar Linux flavour. I mean it does not even exist on some distros.

    bs, a "linux job" is the least specific job ever. wtf is that. and for an admin type of job, which is what i assumed you were referring to, wtf would you need perl, what if you know python or expect. what if your site uses csh, and you dont need to know multiple MTAs if they only use one.
