A bolt of "fossilized lightning" that has been dated to be two hundred million years old was discovered on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona.

This would be an okay site if not for the fact the very first two images are Photoshoped images notorious on the Web for several years. Also, some of his other images have been fiddled with to brighten, highlight, or overlay colors of the lightning bolts. This site contains a few good images (almost all of which are used without credit or permission) but it's mostly a compilation of eye candy shots with relatively little intellectual content, despite the numerous fawning comments. By the way, fulgarites (what the web author calls "fossilized lightning") cannot be dated and are not so durable as to last millions of years. The one displayed on this site looks suspiciously like a root cast fossil. Feh!
