I remember reading that passage yrs ago in a biography about Darwin. How about the sea lousse whose young hatch inside its' body and consume it from the inside out until all that's left is just a husk of the mother's shell? No "design" in nature, IMO. If anyhting in the natural world is designed then it's pretty clear that this designer has zero empathy for anything that's more complex than bacteria.
