    Gandhi is a man whom I idolize, but this isn't my favorite thing that he said by any stretch of the imagination. For a man of peace and tolerance, this was an awfully prejudicial thing for him to have said, which I'm sure alienated a whole lot of people around the world. And while it certainly is true for a majority of Christians, just throwing out a blanket statement like that strikes me as not so great.

They were mean and cruel. When you were in church they smiled and were very nice, when they weren't at church, they were awful. My father refered to this as "hanging up your Christian attitude with your Sunday clothes". Gandhi had it right.
