memachelle discovered 7 weeks ago- this is a photo of ranger and i, taken a few months ago ... i'm posting because.... ranger really hates [not so much hate's but is scared beyond words. when he's scared he runs to me, if i'm in bed he gets under the covers, if we're in a store, he tries to jump into my arms] fireworks and vacuum cleaners ... something about the pitch of the noise ... yesterday was the 4th of july here in the states, independence day. why people want to shoot fireworks all day is a mystery to me, save 'em for the nightsky... cause ranger thinks he must *hold me* when something frightens him ... he's almost 115lbs at this time ... and my lap ain't that big nor is a califorina king size bed big enough for me, ranger, and tom. nothing will get ranger off the bed when he's scared, so i slept with a big dog on my feet all night .... now don't get me wrong, he can be quite vicious/aggresive [nature of the akita] when he's protecting me. buuuuuttt ... if anyone comes at us when we're out and about armed with a dustbuster or a cap gun ... i'm screwed ...
