y2song rated 8 months ago- Please, don't be juvenile and dim. Why are people howling about an imminent evil Internet monopoly when there is already one? I'm talking about Google, of course - incidentally, Google came out and attacked MSFT/Yahoo deal too, which is rather unusual for a competitor to criticize so openly about the business strategy of its foe. Somehow, Google's "do no evil" marketing schtick seems to be working. Let's not fool ourselves, Google is dominant in the Internet. If the second tier players do not stick together, the only outcome will be the demise of both Yahoo and MSFT's web presence. I use Google on a daily basis, but I don't mind seeing another big player keep things relatively in check and balanced. Perhaps you really love Yahoo and worry that MSFT will fuck them up. Possibly. But Yahoo, in case you haven't notice, is under going major lay-offs and without some sort of financial rescue, it will either go down the toilet or getting bought out by some nameless/faceless private investors. Grow the fuck up, folks.
