This is another one of those things I get complacent about, illegal searches along with the variety of actions by law enforcement, especially during "routine" things like registration and seat belt checks. I've noticed that locally those checks occur in specific (less than... more

The police have gotten too powerful and too corrupt for me to do anything but want less power in there hands...too many sad stories result from it..

A cop that came in to my high school health class (just to be a dick and scare the shit out of us) told us that yeah, you can refuse a search, but all a cop has to do get a warrant is make a phone call to a judge and have the warrant sent to a fax (or something) right in his car. just sayin'. also, fuck the police.

The town I live in has the highest police:citizen ratio of anywhere in the country, and I can tell you that there is nothing worse than a bored copi. There is a full city force, a full university force with jurisdiction all over the city, a sheriffs office, and a DEA office, as well as highway patrol; all in Stillwater, Oklahoma, which has a population of about 47,000 excluding university students which bring it up to about 65,000 during the academic year. I got a ticket for "improper backing". Lame.

It was a big hit! The students felt it was a great way to review the course materials and several asked if they could have a video. I'll be teaching this class again next year and plan to show your video on the first day of class -- which my students felt would be a real attention-getter. Thanks for the video!" #@%^&* police should respect the law and our Constitution. Many do so, but it is criminal when they don't. Hopefully we can pull back from the fascism of the Bush years. Otherwise....
