    Get out and get fit!

Ok, I don't even really run much, but I can get up and do a 5k any day. It's really not something you need to train for. I think it had been three years since the last time I actually ran, and I broke that lengthy break with a 5k. I doubt a program like this would allow me to reach my goal of running 5k in under 20 minutes.

I don't need the training program, it would already take me eight weeks to run 5K.

From the page: "Making running a 5K your goal can be an excellent motivational tool. "

We're very nearly there, but the "Run Through Hell" is all the way in August. Can't wait!

Looks like a good 5k program. I just never got into 5ks. They hurt to much to run

If you've been thinking about training for a 5K but are not sure exactly what program to stick to, here is a brief 8-week 5K fitness guide that can help you get in shape.

The couch to 5k is probably better for beginners. It's what got me into running a few years ago.
