carolsim rated 8 months ago- Joss Whedon is a very talented person. I loved his Firefly series because the characters seemed to be mostly working class people just trying to live and enjoy life despite all of the obstacles in their way.
To find that Joss Whedon has a strong labor consciousness somehow does not surprise me, but it does cause me to admire him as human being as well as a creative artist.
Tymethief rated 10 months ago- Excellent riposte by Joss Whedon to the NYT article referencing the writer's strike. Writing is hard... you think it's so easy? Why aren't you published?
TwistTim2006 rated 10 months ago- Major Win for Joss Whedon. While the Writers have more money than most union protesters I think they deserve compensation from advertising during Internet showings and a percentage of DVD sales, after all if they didn't write it, there'd be nothing there, Just Actors walking around asking "What's my Motivation?" and directors going "umm, you like walking in ummm outer space?" Writers do the hard work in Hollywood, and get to express themselves.... so yeah, way to go Joss, err Mr. Whedon, Sir.
As far as the New York Times being like Republicans because the favor the elitest? there's a laugh... the Times favor state run, state controlled thought, any independent action leading against that is evil to them..... Republicans favor Business, and Letting people succeed or fail on their own merits, real ones anyways.... oh and Faith and Values also matter to them, unlike other parties... Green, People's, whatever we call it this year ( Socialist in Disguise Party), Democrats who more and more and liberals wanting Socialism (ie, Hillary, Edwards wants semi-Socialism and has tried to bankrupt parts of North Carolina as a trial lawyer to pay for his fees and in several civil suits he filed and won)
Queensowntalia rated 10 months ago- The reader comments for the article are a fun read as well.
SurtyrFoesmasher rated 11 months ago- For a "liberal" newspaper, the New York Times sure do love to take the side of the elite in this country. I thought that was just a republican quirk.
