- I'm so-so about this. Though there are quite a few good reads and important topics the main picture is pushing me away. I'm beginning to lose touch with the feminist idea in general because of things like this.

From the page: "The price of birth control on college campuses has increased dramatically because of a law passed by Congress in 2005 and signed into law by President Bush. Join us in demanding that Congress restore affordable birth control for college health centers and clinics serving low-income women!"
Isn't "affordable" an entirely subjective term? A call for cheaper birth control (by which I assume is meant contraceptives rather than, say, abortion) would be more honest; and a plea to have them free would be more ideologically sound still. That is, as a state subsidised alternative to the 100% free, 100% effective method of "birth control" currently available.
