Wal-Mart is no fan of the light of day, it prefers to operate in the shadows.

The low prices Walmart promises is a facade. Often Walmart just chooses the cheapest of a selection -- which doesn't lead to just low prices, but also inferiority in quality and, obviously, selection. Often, what can be found for cheap at walmart can be found for as cheap or cheaper in online stores (and this takes into consideration shipping and handling). As for Vlassic -- sorry, but you really had your choice of Retailer. If you wanted to sell higher, you could've.Also, another note: Walmart *creates* jobs for people in china who often only have a pittance of an alternative otherwise. Sure, it's not jobs for the USA, but they're not being cruel. The only thing that should sway people from shopping at Walmart is its inferiority -- don't give in to the conspiracies. Please. For your sake and mine.

Big companies do this all the time.. Even grocery stores sell certain items at a loss in order to pull you in to buy other things. If you walk out with just the sale item, they're losing, they're just taking the chance.
