Prison officers warn the soaring number of Islamic radicals and terrorists being locked up is a threat to security over fears that bomb plots may be hatched behind bars. The alert came as security chiefs revealed that up to 4,000 extremists could be at large in the UK after attending terror training camps in Afghanistan. It presents an alarming picture of the growing terror within our borders-figures show that one in four suspects arrested are asylum seekers. Steve Gough, vice-chairman of the Prison Officers Association, said: 'The radicalisation of young men is going to be our biggest problem over the next four or five years. If you look at the trials coming up we are possibly going to have hundreds more entering the prison system.'"
