I be digg'n me some mad-scientist type experiments. Here we are wasting tax dollars trying to cure cancer and going to Mars. When I'm made dictator I would redirect the country's science budget to working on various rays. Death rays. Mind control rays. Clothing-dissolving rays. And most importantly, the Funk ray. I think we can all agree we could use more funk.

A team of European scientists has deliberately triggered electrical activity in thunderclouds for the first time, according to a new paper in the latest issue of Optics Express, the Optical Society's (OSA) open-access journal. They did this by aiming high-power pulses of laser light into a thunderstorm.

How come top news stories on TV involve Britney Spears, and I haven't heard about this at all?? This is incredible!

I predict a military plane named Zeus flying over enemy territory, while down below freak lightning strikes cause blackouts, wildfires, and assassinations (ha! that would be a great way to go).
