From the page: "MEMETICS; THE NASCENT SCIENCE OF IDEAS AND THEIR TRANSMISSION" . Very interesting, i have never thought about this before, I will google on it. I wonder if Propaganda is the science of memes?

Interesting read, even if I couldn't be bothered to read all of it.

The analysis at the end of the article takes on the Marxist Leninist Meme (Perestroika was still in full swing then) and as we all know now the democratic principle has won, not by 'toxins' but merely by better results. The 'intolerance embedded in MLM (Marx-Lenin)' was less effective. I think that the same applies to religion - the intolerant memes will ultimately lose out. If we keep freedom of speech and equal rights of man and woman upright, in the end the cruel aspects of islamism will have to go away. But maybe I'm too muc of an optimist.

You know when you stop and wonder how you got to thinking what you are at that moment? This essay gives a smart discussion on how thoughts evolve.

An okay account of memes. I'm not thumbing it because I think any book by Blackmore or Dennet would serve the same instructional purpose much better.
