The everyday lives of innocent people sent into chaos by those jealous of our freedoms, of the successes of our struggles and the pride in our foundation. The man in the picture is not flailing, he's not panicking and he's not afraid. On this day, he was going to decide for himself exactly how it was going to end, and it was going to be by his own design.

The story of one of the most important images to came from that day of days. A lot can be said image, so many meanings and views are created from it (both good and bad). But it is an image that should never be forgotten, should never be buried since the image carries with it a power that helps define that day of days like no other. Saying nothing about the story behind the image.

Poignant, stunning. Feel a bit like I've been hit in the gut. What a terrible situation. This piece is well done.
