Painkiller is a great game. The only problem is I havent been able to play it because of VISTA. Hilarious review.

Yahtzee's excellent review of Painkiller. Funny, witty, enjoyable, and surprisingly positive, considering his shtick is that he hates everything.

I totally disagree with him on painkiller. It SEEMED like it might be a neat game, but it was crap. It came free with the Chaintech 6600GT video card which fried 8 months later on its own (faulty heatsink) and when I returned the card I had to return the game too (it was part of the deal).

Anyway, I had found that not only did I not miss the game, but I really hadn't played it more than 3 hours total anyway. Then I later discovered I still had the game on my hard drive and all I needed was a no-cd crack and I could play it again... SO I got the crack and...decided it wasn't worth playing anyway. Then the HD that had that game on it died and I discovered I really didn't give a shit.

I'll admit I kinda liked the gun that shot stakes out and impaled the enemies against the wall, and the default weapon was kinda nifty, but... The game just grew old really fast... like into the 2nd or 3rd level you're already bored kinda fast...

SO yeah, I don't agree with this review, and I still hate the auctioneer impression this guy does.
