chuckbutt discovered 5 months ago- This is a really cool site, which I found because the guy made a house for about $8,000 - out of straw bales and other materials.

SUsteph7 rated 4 weeks ago- Useful information and designs.

DaysEye rated 4 months ago- Building a house at very low costs. Wanna see how this is possible? Click Enter, scroll down to Gallery and learn :) I always imagine life to be far less complicated in such surroundings....

redneckdriver rated 5 months ago- So said Goethe.... and it surely must be true, to judge by the many who dream of a better way of life, to somehow rest more easily upon our Mother, and on each other. It's a powerful feeling, it feels good. For me, it means leaving Gaia richer than you found her - she gave you life, you give her love. And there are as many ways of loving her as there are people to hurt her.

aggrocultural rated 5 months ago- "... no lasting external change can be accomplished without first transforming the world within. As soul cannot know truth without directly accessing the divine, so body cannot know the true gifts of creation without direct access to the living environment and its resources. Sensitivity to what lies beneath and around our own feet is an essential step towards healing the Mother. Sustainable, just access to her resources equally so if we are to regain our own truest freedoms, but such freedom is rarely welcomed by those accustomed to living at other's expense."

The Raising of a Strawbale House
Like advena, this is my dream. Every day I wake up and long for the day when I walk into my kitchen and see the following:

advena rated 5 months ago- Beautiful hand-built strawbale house - this site has a slide show of how to do it - great if, like me, this is your pipe dream.
