Interesting article but I disagree with the assertion that these are very important. Google accounts for well over 3/4th of search conducted. Adde the share of Yahoo, MSN, Ask etc and you can see what a really very small niche these specialized search engines have. Maybe good for large firms but... more

Interesting article but I disagree with the assertion that these are very important. Google accounts for well over 3/4th of search conducted. Adde the share of Yahoo, MSN, Ask etc and you can see what a really very small niche these specialized search engines have. Maybe good for large firms but I think t he smaller firms are better off with focusing their energy and budgets on the bigger search engines for greater ROI

As Internet marketing gets more and more local, the need for vertical search engines can only increase. I am sorry, but I don't think Google can do it all! Well, they can do a lot, but this article shows some untapped niches. Great job!
