Presumably, these Ethernet rings come in both straight-through and cross-over pin-outs for traditional and same-sex nerding. I believe that if you actually see someone wearing this, the acceptable thing to do is to act like Ogre from "Revenge of the Nerds" beat their asses while yelling "NERDS!!" Then hope the don't get their lawyers on you.
