It's as if, the whole world has turned into an early nineties Beastie Boys music video.
bhartzer rated 13 months ago- Very cool. I have never really been into virtual reality, but looking at this explanation and this use of it kind of makes me want to look again at VR.
What's very cool about this is that the Russian DIYers have taken the time to use ASCII art, which is really what is a simple form of art using computers, and turn that into realtime ascii art and then combining that with the technology of virtual reality.
I'm glad that I'm not "on anything", as looking at this would really totally freak me out. I get kind of freaked out at looking at the video--which is a good thing. Very cool.
meatbot rated 13 months ago- I would almost label this just "another lame art project". Yet another project that demonstrates part of the future technologies yet to be matured. VR will only get better and more and more features will be integrated into systems such as these. Wearing this device would definately give the user a taste of what it may be like to be a cyborg in the 21st century.

Since I don't really "get" why I would want to do this I guess this one more proof that I am graphically-challenged.
msaleem-stumbl rated 13 months ago- From the page: "VR goggles turn the real world into ASCII art"
