Elfeicho rated 6 weeks ago- its true, there are about 10 people from my generation that aren't fuck-tards, we are about to enter the second dark age.

clownsonfire rated 7 weeks ago- Remember folks this an "editorial" and while I tend to like the points it makes and the questions it asks it is just "one mans opinion" not an assault on all the stuff we love. Don't take it so seriously.

julieann081 rated 7 weeks ago- I don't agree with all of this, but it's an interesting article nonetheless.
From the page: But the Internet isn't a replacement for memory "the fact that one can look up Iraq's position on a 3-D globe doesn't excuse not knowing where it is in the first place. Access to knowledge isn't the same thing as knowledge. Our challenge is to turn the torrent of information at our disposal "information on former presidents, literary masterpieces and, yes, even The Sopranos" into something we "and everyone else, for that matter" can actually learn from. And with our knowledge, we'll be ready the next time the Vietnamese bomb Pearl Harbor.- I don't agree with all of this, but it's an interesting article nonetheless.

brennemeister rated 3 months ago- Typical pseudo-intellectual - he blames everyone for this problem except the lackluster teachers and professors WHOSE JOB IT IS TO TEACH this "dumbest generation"

IW84NO1 rated 4 months ago- "Because in my limited experience as a teacher, I've noticed in the last 10 years that students are no less intelligent, no less ambitious but there are two big differences: Reading habits have slipped, along with general knowledge. You can quote me on this: You guys don't know anything."

memachelle rated 4 months ago- the educators is there to present the material...the student is there to learn the material.... do you really belive the great thinkers, inventors and innovators sat in class waiting for someone to "teach" them? or maybe they saw the material presented and said, "i can do better!" more is spent today per student than i can ever recall, yet students are unprepared. face it--not everyone should go to college - - that's like saying every kid playing little league baseball should make the all-sStar team at the end of the season, or everyone should be given an A because they tried so hard ....to each according to his ability... if ya ain't got it... don't waste money on it is the under 30 bunch the dumbest generation? ...... for 90% of them -- YES the other 10% will have to support them....good luck

surlyotter rated 4 months ago- The fact that mysticalspork regards Catcher in the Rye--a book recognized by basically every tenth grader, and the protagonist of which is a self-righteous whimperer -- as the epitome of "classic (read: cliche) literature" says more in defense of this article than I possibly could.
