demonveen rated 9 months ago- Dumb. Someone made this list out of a catalog. Most of these tools are NOT necessary in most situations. The only tool I've been caught without was a Torax driver on a legacy Compaq -- one that wasn't even worth fixing, I charged my friend $2 for getting the tool I needed at the hardware store. A small to normal sized Phillips and regular screw-driver should be all you need -- and many cases don't even require that anymore. This page is pure crap. (ps -- for most purposes you should buy your cables pre-made -- if you are saving money rolling you're own your not getting paid enough.)
ichbinbored rated 9 months ago- Useful list, but the coldheat soldering iron is a bit crap. The tips break all the time.
daswede rated 9 months ago- Great resource for a computer toolkit. I'll have to come back and check this out when it's time to assemble one.

- Just for the record my Coldheat soldering iron is a piece of crap, the reason is that it turns on when the solder closes the circuit on the tip. What this does is heat up the solder on the tip in to a red hot bead of death (literally) until it evaporates. Luckily I bought it for $30 on clearance.
It's actually very frightening and probably unsafe.
Get one with a switch.
