xyzzyplugh rated 42 months ago- Looks okay. Might have known they'd put something sneaky in it though;
'.Net framework'? what's that all about? Course if you want a real free open source pro painter PSlookalike you could try GimpShop! q.v. (q.g.)

- Interesting, but you're probably better off getting the GIMP...
It runs natively in linux, so you have to get GTk+ so it can emulate gui widgets. All free of course. GIMP has been very stable for me in winXP since version 2.0
 Lovingheart4JC41 rated 32 months ago- I'll need to give this a try
 rabidpotatochip rated 32 months ago- Spiffy replacement for Paint. Long gone are the days of having to dither a screenshot to 16 colors so it's sendable while I'm at work. heh
 mhinze rated 28 months ago- i'm interested in the source code - heard it was nicely designed
 LordBob rated 29 months ago- If you cannot afford Photoshop 7 then here is a free photo manipulation program that claims to do most of what its competitors can. Well worth a try I'd say.
 Tony-A2020 rated 30 months ago- A very professional image creation/manipulation program. Can do many tricks and is a valuable addition to any artist's software paint box.
 babirox rated 28 months ago- As far as I'm concerned, nothing will ever beat GIMP (or that cheap $20 copy of Photoshop bought in New Caledonia last summer). But nonetheless, nice prog!
What puzzles me most is why this wasn't done by Microsoft years ago!
 garyburge rated 29 months ago- Paint.NET is image and photo manipulation software designed to be used on computers that run Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Server 2003. It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools.

 wlodi rated 32 months ago- Forget about original Paint that stays the same for more than 10 years long! Use at least Paint.NET! "It supports layers, unlimited undo, special effects, and a wide variety of useful and powerful tools." All you need is .net Framework 2.0.
