The EDGE of Existence
programme seeks to:
Raise awareness of the world's most Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) species
Identify the current status of poorly known
and possibly extinct EDGE species
Develop and implement conservation strategies
for all EDGE species not currently being protected

Shantiman rated 7 months ago- Wonderful World

Kiaria rated 7 months ago- This is so great. Just look at these lovely little things (wild long-eared jerboas). The EDGE of Existence programme is doing a really great job!

Pickle05 rated 15 months ago- "The EDGE of Existence programme aims to conserve the world's most Evolutionarily Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) species by implementing the research and conservation actions needed to secure their future."

FigBoy rated 15 months ago- The world will be poorer without creatures like these. Consider making a regular donation.

shell42970 rated 17 months ago- From the page: "EDGE species are truly one of a kind. If they disappear there will be nothing similar left on the planet."
100 "evolutionarily distinct" animals, most of which are not currently protected by conservation efforts.- From the page: "EDGE species are truly one of a kind. If they disappear there will be nothing similar left on the planet."

meliraye rated 18 months ago- I'll admit that I've never seen most of these animals before. Which probably makes this site that more important. We can't lose any more of our diverse animal population.

Phun4u2 rated 18 months ago- The best site on animal extinction.

nemoDreamer rated 18 months ago- how very sad. and urgent.
