One of the best guides to good writing available. regardless on your interests or politics, if you want to learn how to write tight, compelling prose that is also blessed with personality and grace, then read the Economist. Best I know of, along with Strunk's, and all the better because of the opportunity to see the principles in practice in the Economist each week.

We can't have too many style guides out there and as they go, this one is jolly good.
