- Solar energy...wow. Here's a bit of an interesting take on the purported usefulness of solar energy. You know for all the money we've blown on developing solar energy, we could have come up with a way of using or recycling nuclear waste. Nuclear energy really is where it's at. Solar energy may be cheaper now, but that doesn't make it any more practical.
