The Roly-Poly Pot works on the concept that plants fall over when they begin to die of thirst.

Plants are our saviors. And it's only the moral duty of man to help them live, for their sake as well as ours. Designer Samgmin Bae not only realized this, but came up with something that might give many a thirsty plant a new life.

Stupid idea... Why not just have a alarm-based timer in the pot? Reset the timer when you water the plant. Or have the pot sense the moisture of the soil. Have it emit crying noises when the soil is dry and purring noises when the soil is wet.

Clever invention for plant-killers like me!

Until now, plants have been mere decorations, devoid of voice and power. The tables have been turned! No longer will your plants perish in silence. True, these pets of the sadistic and forgetful will meet their demise nonetheless, but they will go with honor, knocking over their own pot in a suicidal revenge, spilling a gory mix of mud, rocks, and plantal tissue on the nearest flat surface, and forcing their unfeeling masters to think twice before again so cruelly parching a vulnerable and unmoving seedling.

Just another concept that's not realized yet, and maybe never will be.

What terrible writing: 'A human being would wither if he has to go without water for a considerable time. The same goes for plants.' that's quite backwards, but then they follow up with the kicker: plants are our saviors. Right, for those who are unfamiliar with the concept of ecosystem. This is a shitty attempt to steal the news from the site that made it first.
