ok...im just gonna assume that splayd comes from spoon- and the knife which can be considered a blade, and maybe even the fork..i dunno. Ill put in on my list of things to research.

Yeah, but where's the knife part on the splayd? On the sides? that wouldn't work so well I think. What I want is the spife, with some knork tines on the end... kind of a SPORFE !

SPIFE FOR LIFE. I have one, it is used for eating Kiwifruit and it is AMAZING.
