They probably found a dead dog, and somebody added the yipping. A live dog would have moved more if someone were holding that way. BluePeriphery pulled some nonsense out of his ass about dogs holding still when he;d that way, but his head would have been moving to look at the individual soldiers rather than just staring blankly,

Youtube censored this video. I'm glad its still out for everyone to see how despicable it is. Link it, share it. This is not a stuffed puppy or already dead. Puppys have an instinctual reflex when held by the scruff to curly up hold still and be quiet. It it were dead the legs and tail would be hanging limp, not pulled up tight. If it were stuffed it would not flop as he threw it. Killing animals is a sign of psychopathic behavior, and this psycho is allowed to carry a gun. I'd bet money he has killed innocent people.

My hypothesis: it's a doll or facsimile of some sort and the yipping was edited in post-production. Also there is very little chance you could hear the "thump" from as far away as the thing supposedly landed. In any case, I preferred this scene when it was written in The Things They Carried.
