azkitchen rated 11 months ago- No, no, no, no, NO! I must dispense some common professional sense concerning this myth and the "Whiten your teeth with lemons" myth. Strawberries and lemons contain acid. Acid DEMINERALIZES your teeth, meaning that it breaks down your teeth. Would you take battery acid and clean a Da Vinci fresco? The wall would be clean, but you would irreversibly remove the painting in the process. When you attempt to whiten your teeth with acid you remove enamel from your teeth. Do it enough to see whitening results and you have just irreversibly removed enamel from your teeth. You can't get it back. The cells that made your enamel died long ago prior to the teeth erupting into your mouth. Do not put acid on your teeth to whiten them. Dental tooth whiteners (carbomer peroxide) whiten teeth extremely well and do not acid etch your teeth. If you are that desperate, go to the drug store and buy some Crest Whitestrips.
