Ron Paul (R-TX) introduced H.R. 5843, the "Personal Use of Marijuana by Responsible Adults Act of 2008," which would decriminalize possession of marijuana for personal use."

- If this passes maybe we will have some room in our prisons for some rapists or some serial killers, instead of college students.

- Call me high-minded, but little less than full freedom in this matter will please me. Full legalization seems likely to come only on the heels of some major social action. I don't support what I call silly "one ounce bounce" laws, but it's a step in the right direction.

- I think this is more of a thing for medical users. I read somewhere that it wouldnt take the federal penalty off of it, but just the state laws.
