Gatochy rated 6 months ago- "It's not about good drawings. It's about drawing good. Don't try to produce good drawings. It's like a rabit, if you chase the rabbit he will run away from you. Instead of trying to produce good drawings, try to catch the essence of what you are drawing. As soon as you capture the interesting shape, the emotion, or the essence of what you saw on the screen try to recreate it on the page with a few strokes of your pen. AS SOON AS YOU CAN SEE THE IMAGE ON THE PAGE MOVE ON. DON'T FINISH YOUR DRAWINGS AND DON'T ADD DETAIL! I know this is hard for beginners but don't fall into this trap. You'll never grow as an artist if you spend a 1,000 hours adding insignificant lines to your drawings. Capture the image in as few lines as possible then move on."

TheFew rated 6 months ago- I did this by nature without really trying. in fact, all it took was inborn talent. I can barely put effort into mowing the lawn or even cook (which both I love) do you think I'm gunna put any effort into anything else? no. I just did stuff like this because A) it's easier and B) It came as a natural activity to me, much like breathing. so zephyr wolf was right. it just takes inborn talent... for some. for others its another story though. some cognitive sciences suggest that we follow similar paths of learning but with less awareness of the steps we take, those with the least amount of awareness but highest amount of comfort are more naturally tuned to whatever it is they're doing but those who find it difficult can still reach the destination, often with greater quality by hard work and practice. so there. you both lose.

tnk rated 6 months ago- Interesting

- Zephyr, you got no idea. talent makes up maybe 10%.. the rest is plain old hard work, and practicing the right techniques as suggested in the article.
